Sorbetto Breakfast Parfaits
The weather was beautiful outside on Wednesday, so I embraced the day. I started the day off by making sorbetto breakfast parfaits for my siblings and I. A bright, summery and healthy breakfast treat that started us all on the right foot. After which my sister and I went for a walk through the neighborhood; a breath of fresh air and a lovely mind cleansing activity. I brought my camera with and I took pictures of the true beauty that most simply pass by each day without noticing. My sister bought a frozen coffee beverage, in which she sipped on while I took pictures. It was such a lovely way to start the day.
With August fast approaching, I am putting focus on our summer goal list. It may not be your typical summer goal list, but that is exactly what I love about it. Almost all of the items on the list are all focused on the outdoors and all items are entirely achievable. With summer quickly flying by, this list is going to be put into full swing, starting now.
The sorbetto breakfast parfaits are my take on the acai bowl. I first had an acai bowl during my trip to Hawaii last year. My boyfriend and I each purchased one with a coffee, in which we ate in large rocking chairs on the porch of an expensive hotel as we watched the waves of the ocean hit the rocks. It was one of those simple moments that you will always remember. It's the simple moments that truly make an impact.
The sorbetto parfaits are comprised of layers of sorbetto, granola, fresh fruit and sunflower seeds. It is the perfect breakfast for a hot summer day. Please use any glass of your choosing, but a clear glass would be ideal to see the layers, colors and beauty of this special breakfast.
